Khan Bonfils, aki Saesee Tiin mestert, a Tanács tagját alakította a Baljós árnyakban, Dante Poklának január 5-ei színházi próbáján összeesett és meghalt. A darab rendezője, majd a kiérkező mentősök is megpróbálták újraéleszteni, sikertelenül. Az előadást, amelynek premierje csütörtökön lett volna, későbbre halasztották.

Bonfils rendszeres színpadi megjelenései mellett feltűnt a Batman: Kezdődik! és a Skyfall filmekben is. Saesee Tiin karakterét mindhárom Star Wars-előzményfilmben más színész alakította: a II. részben Jesse Jensen játszotta, a III. részben pedig Kenji Oates esett áldozatul Darth Sidious kardjának.
