Bár munkássága nem kapcsolódott a Csillagok háborújához, mégis meg kell emlékeznünk róla, hogy helyi idő szerint hétfő reggel repülőbalesetben meghalt James Horner, számos film, többek között a Titanic, az Avatar, A Zorro álarca és a Rettenthetetlen Oscar-díjas zeneszerzője. A 61 éves művész egyedül vezette egymotoros S-312 Tucano MK1 gépét, amikor Santa Barbara közelében egyelőre ismeretlen okból lezuhant.
