Egész jó sorozat, ahhoz képest, hogy ifjúsági könyv. Én úgy tudom jogi dolgok miatt lett kiadatlan a maradék 11 kötet.

Tudom nem olyan jó, hogy nem valósulhat meg mindenki igénye. De legalább megjelennek könyvek. Sőt elég sok könyv. Sose mertem volna álmodni, hogy valaha lesz ilyen mennyiségű kiadás. Az én szívem vágya az lenne, hogy jelenjennek meg a Jedi-növendék kiadatlan részei, a Jedi Quest, és a Watason-féle Last Jedi, a Régi Köztársaság Lovagjai képregény és Jedi Históriák képregény kiadatlan részei. Sajnos ezek sem fognak megvalósulni. Túl kicsi hozzá ez a piac és ők túlságosan lekötöttek egyéb hosszú sorozatokkal. Ezekből nem lesz semmi, már elkönyveltem. Igen, úgy tűnik elég meggyőző lett a javaslat. Szeretik Steve Perry-t, a Halálcsillag kiemelkedően jól fogyott, és ráadásul ők inkább rövid sorozatokat/egy részes sztorikat szeretnének, úgyhogy sok feltétel kedvező volt hozzá. Most már a Lucasfilm/Disney-n múlnak bizonyos dolgok... Aztán majd meglátjuk.

Egy újabb interjú részlet a The Last Jedi-vel kapcsolatban. "The Last Jedi makes direct mention of the major events that took place on Mandalore during the current season of The Clone Wars. How has The Clone Wars influenced your plot points? Were you able to gain information regarding the Mandalore episodes while writing, and are you, perhaps, keen to events that will be explored in later episodes? MKB: The Clone Wars didn’t influence our plot points, per se, but it did cause us to have to be cautious in our mention of the political situation on Mandalore. We’d actually put in some of that as we’d gleaned from available “historical” information, but Shelly gave us an inside scoop on some developments in TCW that caused us to pull out anything too detailed. NJOE: What can Star Wars fans expect from you in the future? Can you share any recent story ideas you have pitched or are developing now? MKB: We don’t have anything in the pipeline, though we have pitched a couple of ideas to the Powers. I’d like to do another Dash Rendar story, personally—one in which he joins with the two surviving members of Eaden Vrill’s teräs käsi order to find out who orchestrated the Nautolan’s death and the destruction of his order, and Michael has suggested a novel that would actually “star” the droids—I-Five being the leading (tin) man, as it were. That would be more fun than a barrel of pit droids. I’ve also had a suggestion from a fan that they’d like to see a story about Darth Ramage, who (though deceased) plays a pivotal role in The Last Jedi. Naturally, my mind immediately began to wander in that direction… But there’s no predicting what the Powers will do. We also ran a couple editorial questions by Shelly Shapiro… NJOE: The Last Jedi, although definitely a part of the Coruscant Nights series, isn’t subtitled with Coruscant Nights 4. What was the reasoning behind excluding the Coruscant Nights subtitle from this book? Shelly Shapiro: We went back and forth on that a million times, trying to figure out how best to attract new readers and old readers alike. In the end we decided that the back cover copy–which makes clear that it’s an adventure with Jax, I-Five, and Den Dur–would carry the message to existing fans of the Coruscant Nights books, while the front cover wouldn’t be off-putting to those who haven’t yet dipped their toes in any of Jax’s story. However, the back cover does show the covers of the first three books with the following line: “LOOK FOR THESE THRILLING NOVELS IN THE CORUSCANT NIGHTS SERIES.” NJOE: The Coruscant Nights series is no stranger to Expanded Universe changes that have occurred because of The Clone Wars television show. Perhaps the biggest example of that is the depiction of the death of Even Piell. As an author writing in an ever-changing landscape like the Expanded Universe, how did you react to Piell’s death being changed? Is this addressed in The Last Jedi, and if not, could you share your thoughts on how you might resolve this discrepancy? Shapiro: Yes, that certainly took us all by surprise! But when Evan Piell was offered as a usable Jedi Master for JEDI TWILIGHT, no one knew that the TV show would end up using him in their stories and killing him off there. When we found out, the authors and I discussed the idea of changing Piell to a different Jedi Master in the Science Fiction Book Club version, and maybe even in future Del Rey reprints of the book, but that wouldn’t fix the fact that continuity had already been broken, and it would leave two versions of the book existing on bookshelves. So we just opted for not mentioning him by name in THE LAST JEDI. I’d like to say it’s a miracle that, considering how huge the Star Wars universe has become, more of these kinds of slips haven’t happened. But in truth, I think it is a testament to the diligence and hard work of everyone involved, especially the continuity keepers at Lucasfilm. NJOE would like to thank Maya Kaathryn Bohnhoff and Shelly Shapiro for graciously taking time to answer some of our questions. The Last Jedi is on bookshelves now, so be sure to check it out!" Érdekes. Tehát tényleg óvatosak voltak a Mandalore leírásánál. Megemlítik, hogy volt egy nagy esemény a TCW ideje alatt, de semmi fontosat nem írtak le, hogy ne legyen kavarás. Csupán pár kulcsfigurát említenek meg. Az Even Piell incidensről is szó esik. Megfordult a szerkesztők fejében, hogy a sorozat köteteit újra kiadják módosított információkkal, de végül nem tették, mert úgy érezték már így is megtört a kontinuitás és nem akarták, hogy az olvasók poolcán kétféle verzió legyen. Hát ez egy elég gyenge indoklás. Én simán megléptem volna, hogy újra kiadatom a CN sorozatot módosítva. Az új kötetnél állítólag úgy oldották meg, hogy említik Jax mesterét, de nem nevezik meg. Azért jó lenne legalább a wookiepedián átírni egy másik névre. Vagy valami referencia jellegű kiadványban tisztába tenni. Úgy tűnik marad az ami eddig volt: A Jedi Twilight elején tényleg meghalt egy Jedi, de őt nem Even Piellnek hívták. A jövőbeni terveik viszont érdekesek. Új Dash Rendar regény, droidokra, különösen I-5-re koncentráló könyv. Jó lenne, ha megvalósulnának.

A Vérszülöttet javaslom.Ez Warhammer fantasy, de nagyon jó könyv. Habár ez a Felix és Gotrek egyik melléksorozata, a Vámpírvadász után játszódik. Nagyjából olvasható önállóan. A sorozat fő címe: Ulrika, a vámpír már előre elárulja mi lesz a leányzó sorsa, úgyhogy talán nem annyira vészes, ha kihagyod a Félix és Gotrek első 6 kötetét. A Sabbat világokhoz szükséges lenne ismerni a Gaunt szellemei sorozatot, van olyan novella mely a sorozat 11. kötetének eseményeivel játszódik párhuzamosan. Sok történet pedig a Gaunt szellemei egyéb köteteinek idejében játszódik. Az Inkvizítor teljesen olvasható önállóan. Sokak szerint a Warhammer 40k egyik alapköve ez a trilógia, bár szerintem egy kicsit eljárt már felette az idő. Abnett Eisenhorn trilógiája sokkal jobb lett. Nem tudok róla, hogy bővülne a lista. Jól hangzik. Nem lenne roszz, ha tényleg meg lehetne oldani egy külön kötetben a novellák magyar kiadását. Érdekes elképzelés. Akár ez is lehetséges. A wookiepedián a Medstar duológia eseményeit már automatikusan átrakták az Ahsoka szál előtti időkre.

Milyen jó a németeknek. Egyszer jártam 2007-ben Ausztriában és benéztem egy újságoshoz. Ott akkor épp egy újságban a Dark Times és a Rebellion ment párhuzamosan. Különszámként pedig egy X-wing és Dark Empire képregényt láttam.

Vicces. De nem valószínű, hogy magyarul megjelenik. Az ilyen apró utalások nem lényegesek. A lehető legkönnyebben ezeket lehet kimagyarázni. Az adott szereplők úgy tudták, hogy Bariss meghalt a 66-os parancs során. Így, ezek nem is számítanak ellentmondásnak. Azért ezt nem mondanám. Az esetek 75%-ban azért beépítenek dolgokat. Inkább maradjanak a könyveknél a puha verzióban. Legalább is szerintem. Azt se értem, hogy a képregényknél miért kell kemény, de hát ők tudják. Én puhában adnám a képregényeket is. Ha a könyv keményben lenne, akkor a Darth Plagueis kb 4600-ba kerülne. Ilyen magas árnál valószínű, hogy jó páran kihagynák a vételt.

Most olvastam egy interjút, mely a the Last Jedi című regény társ szerzőjével, Maya Kaathryn Bohnhoff-fal készítettek. A Piell retconról szó sem esett, ellenben berakták a könyvbe Mandaklore-t Ha jól vettem ki az interjúból, akkor ez Bohnhoff ötlete volt, pedig a szerkesztőségnél figyelmeztették őket, hogy a TCW legújabb évadjában Mandalore középpontba kerül. Állítólag az írók nem sokat írtak Mandalore akkori hátteréről, csak megemlítik Satine-t, Bo-katant, Darth Mault, Savage Opresst. Ha jól láttam EU-s Mandalore helyszíneket használatk fel, nem pedig a sorozat helyszínét, amivel elkerülhetik az esetleges ellentmondásokat. Az interjú ezen része: " When Jax and his party arrived on Mandalore, the chapter began with a recap of the planet's turbulent past. This included mentions of Satine, Death Watch, and the Shadow Collective, all of which appeared in The Clone Wars Season Five. Did you collaborate with Dave Filoni in deciding how to describe and depict Mandalore? Why did you want to use this particular planet? Not exactly. There was originally more description in there, more solid information, about what was going on. We gleaned it from scouring every resource we had about Mandalore at this point in history. Then, after we’d gone through several editing passes, they were just getting ready to send us the galleys for the book, and Shelly said, “I just got an inside scoop about something that’s happening in the TV series this season. We need you to pull back on some of the descriptions of Mandalore.” Initially, she said, “Could you set it someplace else?” [laughs] And I said, “No! It’s got to be on Mandalore. It’s important that it’s on Mandalore for a bunch of different reasons. If we try to change that now, it will have cascade effects throughout the whole book.” So she said, “You need to pull back, because stuff is happening.” Basically, I went through and fluffed over and took out some of the more detailed references that we’d made to things that were going on on Mandalore. It wasn’t even that we knew what was going on. We just knew something was going on. [shelly] thought that certain things were going to happen, but she wasn’t sure, so we just pulled back on that whole thing. How early on did you decide to use Mandalore, and what were some of the things that made it an appealing setting for part of this book? One of the things was that it was where we needed [the planet] to be. Michael created the concept of Kantaros Station and put it out in the Bothan system, so I thought, “Okay, we need a place that fits a certain criteria. We need a place where they can go to get contraband arms, where they will be able to interface with Black Sun people, where there’s a good, healthy black market.” But it also needed to be out toward that area of space, because timing was essential to everything we were trying to do there. It couldn’t be clear off on the other side of the Rim. I looked at the map and I thought, “Mandalore –– that would be the perfect place.” When we first started it, we were thinking of having them end up on Concordia, which is the outlaw moon, but I liked the idea of using Mandalore the planet and the capital city Keldabe especially. It was in the right place in the galaxy. From the beginning, we have Darth Vader splitting up his fleet, with half of them going to Coruscant and half of them going out god-knows-where by flying past Mandalore. It was just right there in the space lanes and it had the perfect setup with all the black market activity and Black Sun and all of that. There was also the fact that it was in political upheaval; that was also a really good reason to use it. It’s an outlaw place where Jax could go to be a pirate." Érdekes. Remélem óvatosan jártak el a szerzők.

Az is eszembe jutottt, hogy a Disney azzal fog az esetleges kaszánál érvelni, hogy teljes egészében az EP7-re akarnak majd koncentrálni.

És arról van valami, hogy konkrétan hogy képzelik el a coruscanti csatához kapcsolódó részeket?

Remélem jön jövőre magyarul is.

Nem nagyon. Az EP3 képregényváltozatába benne volt a halála, de ez nem számít. Meg van egy websorozat, amibe bekavart, de semmilyen más jelentős alkotásban nem született ellentmondás.

Németben túl vagytok a századik számon? Ez jó. Mi sajnos elakadtunk a 82.-nél. Havonta, vagy kéthavonta megy a német SW képregény? Most épp milyen történet, vagy sorozat megy?

A Crucible regény fülszövege. Szerintem is Anakinra utal. Kiskoromban még arra gondoltam, hogy Luke tatuini visszatérésére vonatkozik.

Egy mozirajzfilmmel is le lehetne zárni.

Piszkosul jól fogy, ahogy a Darth Plagueis is. Én igen. Már két regény ötletét meg is szellőztette nemrég.

De Ahsoka akár még vissza is térhet a rendbe később.

Egy meg nem erősített hír szerint a Lucasfilm 3 új regényt szeretne Timothy Zahntól.

Most olvastam egy újabb pletykát, mi szerint az új trilógia egy Solo gyermekre és egy Solo unokára fókuszálna.

Lisa Smedman: A prófécia örökösei. Nagyon jó könyv lett, az egyik legjobb Forgotten Realms amit olvastam. Larajin története már a Vihartoronyban nagyon érdekes volt. Most sikerült még nagyszerűbbé tenni. Lisa Smedman kiváló szerző. Remélem, hogy a további Sembia könyvek is megjelennem majd egyszer. 5/5
